Colin Rogal - Lighting Cameraman

STOP PRESS (scroll down for main homepage)

Colin has recently returned from a month's filming in the Antarctic with his friend, folk musician, Jake Wilson. Despite the very cold temperatures Jake successfully performed his "All's Well" suite of songs for Captain Scott and his polar party in Scott's hut at Cape Evans, basecamp for the ill-fated race for the South Pole a hundred years ago. As well as the performance itself Colin filmed in some of the most beautiful landscapes on earth and a feature length documentary will be produced to mark the anniversary of the official end of Scott's endeavour.

Welcome

Welcome to my website. I'm a UK based lighting cameraman of wide experience working in documentary, drama, the arts and factual programming. My television credits include all the major UK broadcasters as well as many of the independent production companies which supply them.

My overseas clients include CBS, Discovery, National Geographic and PBS in the United States, CBC in Canada, and many more.

I also have several high profile corporate clients in the financial sectors, the airline industry, shipping, and manufacturing. I have filmed for large NGOs such as the UNHCR and the World Wildlife Fund for Nature. Please visit my Corporate and non-broadcast work page for examples of work.

With Dave Calvert filming a crucifixion (as you do)

I'm well versed in the various shooting formats and own a variety of camera kits.

With David Dimbleby and sound mixer Bob Withey in Zimbabwe

Please take a look at my extensive Credits page where you can also view examples of my work: I've included names of producers and directors who would be happy to supply references.

And if you'd like to have a chat about an upcoming production or one of the past programmes listed please get in touch.
